What is the "Made in Framer" badge?

When you publish a Framer site on the free plan without a custom domain, Framer adds a small "Made in Framer" badge to your site. It's Framer's way of getting visibility from free users.

For personal experiments or test sites it doesn't matter. For a client site or a professional project, you'll want it gone.

How to remove it

There's no toggle or setting to turn off the badge manually. It disappears automatically when you do one of two things:

Option 1 — Upgrade to a paid plan Any paid Framer plan (Basic, Pro, or Scale) removes the badge.

Option 2 — Connect a custom domain Connecting your own domain also removes the badge. Custom domain requires a paid plan anyway, so this comes together automatically.

After upgrading or connecting a domain — click Update to republish your site. The badge won't disappear until you republish.

Step by step

  1. Upgrade your Framer site to a paid plan (Site Settings → Plans)

  2. Optionally connect your custom domain (Site Settings → Domains)

  3. Click Update in the top right corner to republish

  4. Badge is gone

That's it. No code, no workarounds.

Do I need a paid plan just to remove the badge?

Yes. There's no way to remove the badge on the free plan. If budget is a concern, the Basic plan at $10/month is the cheapest option — it includes a custom domain and removes the badge.
