The badge disappears automatically — but only under certain conditions.
When you publish a Framer site on the free plan without a custom domain, Framer adds a small "Made in Framer" badge to your site. It's Framer's way of getting visibility from free users.
For personal experiments or test sites it doesn't matter. For a client site or a professional project, you'll want it gone.
There's no toggle or setting to turn off the badge manually. It disappears automatically when you do one of two things:
Option 1 — Upgrade to a paid plan Any paid Framer plan (Basic, Pro, or Scale) removes the badge.
Option 2 — Connect a custom domain Connecting your own domain also removes the badge. Custom domain requires a paid plan anyway, so this comes together automatically.
After upgrading or connecting a domain — click Update to republish your site. The badge won't disappear until you republish.

Can I remove the badge on the free plan? No. There is no toggle or workaround. The badge is tied to the plan, and only a paid plan removes it.
Does connecting a custom domain remove the badge by itself? A custom domain already requires a paid site plan, so in practice the two come together. Once the site is on a paid plan and republished, the badge is gone.
Will the badge come back if I downgrade? Yes. If the site drops back to the free plan, the badge returns the next time it publishes.

Does the template I use matter? No. The badge comes from your Framer plan, not the template. Any template, free or paid, publishes without the badge on a paid plan.
