Where Do I Find Framer Templates?

Framer is free to build with — but not free to launch professionally. Here's exactly where the line is.

Framer is free — including publishing. You can build a full website and go live on a Framer subdomain without spending anything. Paid plans start when you need a custom domain.
Framer's free plan is genuinely useful. You get full access to the editor, unlimited design time, and the ability to use and remix any template. You can build out entire pages, experiment with layouts, and preview your site exactly as it will look when published — all without entering a credit card.
You can even publish for free on a Framer subdomain (yoursite.framer.website). That's fine for testing or sharing a work-in-progress, but it's not something you'd use for a real business or client project.
The free plan ends when you need a custom domain. Once you want your site to live at yourbusiness.com, you'll need a paid plan.
A few other things that require a paid plan:
CMS collections — if your site has dynamic content like blog posts, portfolio case studies, or job listings, you'll need a plan that supports CMS. This currently starts at $15/month billed annually (check it out, it changes sometimes).
Higher traffic and visitor limits, password protection, custom analytics, and various add-ons are also paid features. Framer plans are priced per site, so if you're running multiple projects, costs add up.
The price shown on Framer's pricing page is always a starting point. Depending on your site's traffic, the number of CMS items, and any add-ons you need, the actual monthly cost can be higher than expected. Before committing to a plan, it's worth reading through Framer's pricing page carefully — and checking community forums for real-world experiences from people running similar sites.
For building and experimenting — yes, completely free and no time limit. For launching a professional site on your own domain — you'll need to budget for a paid plan. The good news is the free plan is generous enough to fully learn the platform, test templates, and get comfortable before you spend anything.
If you're just starting out, build first. Pay when you're ready to go live. Ready to start? Try Framer for free. Looking for a template to build with? Browse TMPL templates.
